What does it mean to be saved? I was thinking about that today. How do we know that we are truly saved... How do others know that we are saved? Is there really an answer? I was thinking about all these things today.

The term Salvation literally means= Preservation or deliverance from destruction, difficulty, or evil. A source, means, or cause of such preservation or deliverance. Deliverance from the power or penalty of sin; redemption. The agent or means that brings about such deliverance. Deliverance from the power or penalty of sin; redemption. The agent or means that brings about such deliverance.

We say that we are saved with our mouths, but do we live it by our actions on a daily basis?

The answer forme turned outto be no, not on a daily basis but "for we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God" Romans6:23. Now because weall have fallen short there is grace to forgive us. But whathappens when we fail to live out our faith in front of our unsaved friends or family whatdo we do then? All is not lost, just because we have sinned infront of those to whom we profess our salvation, does not mean that we have blown it. I learned this week that its not just how we act when we are doing well, but how we REACT when we aren't doing well, that shows our salvation. As I have said before the world doesn't want our words they want to see our actions, because to them seeing is believing.

So what does it mean to be saved? It means to be bought. But also acting and REACTING to our problems in away that glorifies God. Not in a way that makes us feel better.
