When Columbus told us that nothing ever happens in Zanesville, they were right .
      But that was before .

Last weekend (May 9th and 10th), Zanesville had an event that led bands and artists Michael Gungor , Seventh Day Slumber , and Pillar into our little town that NOTHING ever happens in.

Also that joined us, were Rick Alonzo and Joel Penton . Rick is an amazing Martial Artist Painter who graciously donated one of his paintings to my Youth Ministry, and sold the other three for only 200 dollars. They were worth about $1,500 .

Joel Penton is a former Ohio State Buckeye, and he came to hang out with us on the 10th as well. He spoke to his fans, and even to a Michigan fan lurking in the crowd.

My Youth Pastor, Adam King , was the main speaker at this event. He and his wife Jennifer made sure the weekend ran smoothly.

On the first night of Battlecry For Zanesville , I got the chance to speak to a young girl who is friends with my younger sister.
She had fresh scars all over her arms from where she had recently cut herself, again . She's been in and out of the hospital, and has attempted suicide many times before. This girl got down on her knees after the drama (Lifehouse "Everything") and she gave her heart and her life to God . I got the chance to pray with this amazing and beautiful girl, and she even thanked and hugged me with tears running down her face and mine.

That weekend was amazing . It's so insane to believe that our little town can do something like that. The fact that my church was able to get Pillar , Seventh Day Slumber , Michael Gungor , Rick Alonzo , and Joel Penton to come to our little town.

Daddy never ceases to amaze me.

The next BattleCry for Zanesville is going to be the first weekend in April of 2009.
Maybe I'll see you there. :)

  • What makes someone a good pers

    • From: chasinggzus
    • Description:

As deemed by cultural norms and values we see a "good person" as someone who upholds the law, is nice to others, perhaps donates to charity, has a positive attitude, and (or) says please and thank you after you pass them the Heinz 57.

However, as a follower of Christ (note: I'm not a Christian. That word is passed around like the flu in a Kindergarten class. I don't merely just go to church and do the religious stuff. I am a follower of Jesus) I have to completely disagree with the idea that their is such a thing as a good person. When we describe someone as a good person by what standard are we judging them by? Perhaps by ourselves, the law, a person on a pedestal, some ideal, or what have you. Generally when one is describing someone as good it's by our own standard of what "good" is. As per se our own personal ideal of what good is versus evil.

Often we base our goodness on what we are not doing versus what others around us are doing. Such as we may say, "Well I know I'm good, atleast I don't steal like my brother." Or, "I'm basically a good person. I don't cheat on tests like my friend Jeff." Therefore, we have solely based goodness on the grounds of what others are doing not on what we are doing.

Ok, you say I am good because of what I do. I don't judge myself based on the outward characteristics of others. Maybe, you say, "I'm really a good person after all. I do my taxes correctly, I observe the speed limit most of the time, heck I even tip waitresses." Alright so you do some stuff well. However, goodness isn't based soley on keeping the expected norms and values of a few of societal ideas or beliefs. Goodness is dependent on a complete following of all of societal norms and values.

Where am I going with this argument, watch this. Ok, fellow Xangster do you believe yourself to be a good person beyond everything else bad that you do? So you think you're still a basically good person? Answer these questions for me then...

      1. Have you ever been angry with someone?

      2. Have you ever lusted after someone of the same or opposite sex?

      3. Have you ever told a lie, even a little harmless white lie?

      4. Have you ever taken the credit for someone elses idea or suggestion and claimed it as your own?

Most of ( if not all ) you said yes, yes, yes, and yes to all four questions. Realize something folkerolks, Jesus said if we are angry with our friends, family members, class mates, co workers or anyone and get mad at them and doing anything externally or internally in anger then we have killed them in a spiritual sense. Next, Jesus said that if we even lust after someone in our heart we have committed adultery with them in a spiritual sense. Next, so you've lied, even if you lied once that makes you a liar. Next, if you took anything whether physical or non-physical that didnt belong to you then you are a thief

So by your own admission your a murdering, adultering, lying, thief! Thus, are murdering, lying, stealing, adulters good people? Of course not, they're viewed as the scum of the earth by us all. Yet, how can you with the same characteristics look at yourself and still see yourself as a basically good person.

      Rom 3:10

      Rom 3:11

no one who is wise or who worships God.

      Rom 3:12

All have turned away from God; they have all gone wrong; no one does what is right, not even one.

      Rom 3:13

      Their words are full of deadly deceit; wicked lies roll off their tongues, and dangerous threats, like snake's poison, from their lips;

      Rom 3:14

their speech is filled with bitter curses.

      Rom 3:15

      They are quick to hurt and kill;

      Rom 3:16

they leave ruin and destruction wherever they go.

      Rom 3:17

They have not known the path of peace,

      Rom 3:18

nor have they learned reverence for God."

We are all morally corrupt people who bathed in sin and moral corruption have no chance of standing in the presence of a holy God.

      Isa 59:2

It is because of your sins that he doesn't hear you. It is your sins that separate you from God when you try to worship him.

Yet, some say well I believe that God will still let me into Heaven based on my good deeds I did throughout my life. Problem 1, those good deeds will be well counter balanced by your bad deeds. Problem 2, if you base your Heaven worthiness on good deeds who will your life be judged against? The sinless perfect life of Jesus. Something tells me the scales are in his favor. Problem three arises in Isaiah

      Isa 64:6

We are unfit to worship you; each of our good deeds is merely a filthy rag . We dry up like leaves; our sins are storm winds sweeping us away.

The Hebraic word for filthy is עד

ayd which literally means menstrual. Thus, God views our goodness as a bloody, nasty, filthy rag that a woman would have used back in the day for her period.

Our only hope for salvation is not and will never be found in anything good we can or will do. It's only found in Jesus.

      Joh 14:6

Jesus answered him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one goes to the Father except by me.

      Rom 10:9

If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised him from death, you will be saved.

      Rom 10:10

For it is by our faith that we are put right with God; it is by our confession that we are saved.

      Mat 7:21

"Not everyone who calls me 'Lord, Lord' will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but only those who do what my Father in heaven wants them to do.

      Mat 7:22

When the Judgment Day comes, many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord! In your name we spoke God's message, by your name we drove out many demons and performed many miracles!'

      Mat 7:23

Then I will say to them, 'I never knew you. Get away from me, you wicked people!'

Okay, so you say you’re a pretty decent Christian. How come? Oh, I see. You think just because you got saved and lived a pretty good life you’re set. Well you’re not. Did you actually read the Bible? Did you go to bible studies? Or how ‘bout this-- did you use those flash cards your weird cousin "Smit" give you with bible verses? No? I thought so, Did you continuously share God’s love? You did at first—then what happened? You got bored or something? Lame excuses! These are just a few ways even God’s children fall short of His glory. Just because you changed who you will serve doesn’t mean you are gonna be 100% percent perfect the first time…in fact you may mess up in the same week. Being a follower of Christ doesn’t stop at a simple commitment. Your covenant is suppose to grow and benefit others that happen to wander on your path. When you are a Christian life can be hard. Sometimes it seems darn near impossible but that is why God is there so that we depend on his strength and not our own. Also He’s there to give us courage and bravery to share the Good News with others. I have no idea of a point I’m trying to get across but you may find more than one. The thing is there are 2 different types of people the 2% and the 98%. The 98 look like that they have it good…they don’t: they are the followers who get herded into flow like sheep with everyone else not really caring or letting their voices be heard so if you will they will be called "SHEOPLE"(Joel came up with this one). Then there are the 2…a low number right? These are the people who are the leaders. Their voices are heard, they make a difference, they are successful. We as a new generation need to stand up and become that 2%. To become the shepherds. The salt and light of the world who make the changes…but good changes that glorify God. As individuals and a people of different backgrounds, personality, thinking we have to LET OUR VOICES BE HEARD! STOP BEING SIILENT! YELL-SHOUT-SCREAM at the top of your lungs. Just think that every person you come in contact with you could be held accountable of their fate: all because you didn’t voice your heart and God’s word. It could possibly scare you that Jesus is coming back…but you feel a great joy in your heart. A fear…but a holy fear. A peace knowing that everyday you lived your life the fullest and that you actually reached out. You made a difference. No matter how big or small. But it will affect those you came in contact with….and the people that come in contact with them… and the people with them. A constant cycle that should never be broken. To fill heaven to the brim with such rejoicing and happiness to those who gave it their all.

WHAT WILL IT BE? SHEOPLE OR SHEPERDS? 98% or 2%? IT'S YOUR CHOICE! I CHOOSE TO LET MY VOICE BE HEARD!

Here's some rock awesome bloggin' for your noggin'

I've been thinkin' a lot lately 'bout people's views of Christianity. A lot of people that I know think that you've gotta get yourself right and stop doing 'bad' things before you can start going to church or get 'religious'. That word just drives me nuts! They think that God is going to send you to Hell because you curse or drink a bit much, or for about a thousand other things. I think that most of the time we judge harsher that Christ does. We all know John 3:16, but John 3:17 goes on to say that He came not to judge the world, but to save it through Him! If Christ left his place ruling the universe from heaven to serve and hang out with sinners like you and me, who are we to judge?

Christianity isn't about following a bunch of rules to gain God's approval of you. His love is unconditional and His grace is big enough to cover anything wrong that we ever have done or could do. So long as He gives us another breath in our lungs, He is still waiting on us to turn to Him. His love is so amazing that even those who deny His very existance, He gives that next breath. Christianity isn't so much a religion as it is a relationship with a real, living God. When we hurt, when we're confused, when we think that we just can't go on one more day, and even when we think that we're on top of the world and have it all figured out, He's there. It hurts Him to see us hurt and it hurts Him to see us turning further from Him with decisions that we make. There's a reason why there are consequences to the decisions that we make, so that we know enough that we messed up and shouldn't do it again. He'll do the same for us when we've done the right thing, especially when it was tough. Knowing that God's on your side, how can you go wrong?

We don't follow a rulebook written by someone who died long ago and who's grave you can visit like most 'religions'. Our God doesn't make us do the work to get to Him, but unlike no other religion, God did all of the work for us! We follow the One who wrote a book over thousands of years through over 40 men all inspired by one true and living God. Each book has it's own style and personality, but they all proclaim the same thing. Countless nations and men have tried to shut us up and to destroy that book like none other in existance, but it has stood the test of time. When the first followers of Christ faced death at every turn, they ran, but couldn't keep quiet about their relationship with God and people began accepting the good news and following Him like gangrene! You just can't stop truth!

Christ didn't just die to pay the price for the mistakes that we've made, but He rose Himself to life three days later. Never in history has that happened or will that every happen. He rose the dead to life, controlled nature, healed the wounded, loved the outcasts of society, and when He chose to give His life after being turned into a disjointed, disfugured lump of strips of flesh, the Earth shook and the temple was torn in two symbolizing that we now have the authority to have a relationship with God directly. There's tons more, but that's just not something that happens every day! Hundreds of detailed prophecy given hundreds and thousands of years before He even came to live with us in the flesh and He fulfilled every one! The ironic thing was that it was the 'religious' people who put Him through the agony at the end of His life wishing to kill Him.

We follow One who loved His creation and longed for them to turn to Him so badly that He lived a perfect life and gave it for us. We follow His rules simply because we are so thankful for the freedom that He has given us and because we know that following them allows us to keep living a life of freedom from the pain that comes by not doing so. He gave them for our good, not to be a fun-killer. Hey, He created fun and true joy! There is only one reason that He will send anyone to Hell and that is for not accepting His free gift of salvation. It's a no-brainer! Ever since the beginning of time, God has simply desired us to place our faith and trust in Him; that's it!

I can't wait to meet Him and to see what He has in store for us at the end of this short, and temporary existance as we pass on the the one that never ends.

Don't wait until it's too late to accept His free gift. Knowing about Christ and that He died to pay the price for what we deserve is meaningless unless you accept it and put your entire life and trust in it. God will never force us to choose Him, but is waiting on us and has given us the ability to choose for ourselves whatever we want in life. I can keep shoving a gift in your face, but if you simply accept the fact that it is a free gift for you and never open it and make it your own, it does you no good. The same goes for His salvation. Don't wait till it is too late, who knows what tomorrow brings or if it will come at all! Put your trust in Him and He'll never let you down!

Life will still throw curve balls your way, but when He is with you guiding you through it, your life has purpose and you never go through it alone!

Hardcore follower of Christ, thankful for the work that He is doing in me and what He has in store for you if you'll let Him! Faith isn't evident by your words, it's evident by your life! Live life like your dying! Hey, you never know when that moment will come!

      Let Your Voice Be Heard!!!!

      Steve

  • Being Percieved As...

    • From: Jewelz_for_Jesus
    • Description:

My Name is Jewel. You know who I am. I attend Summit High. Formerly known as Freshman Class President. To you I am, “Straight forward, outgoing and arrogant. I am a typical teen full of attitude and ‘spunk.’” I am “Every English teachers’ favorite student.” I can “Only be talked to when I feel talking.” I am, “The smart girl in all honor classes.” Unlike most of your friends I tell you what I really think.—I am Jewel. Perceived as, “All together, all the time.” Wow, thanks. But you’ve got the wrong perception.

My name is Jewel. I attend Summit High. Formerly know as Freshman Class Co- President. ‘Formerly’ comes in because, believe it or not I wasn’t (and still am not) “All together all the time.” All classes that I am enrolled in are regular education classes. No, I do not take any honor classes. I am a teenager, therefore, yup; I consist of tons of attitude. I care about my friends as if they were my own blood related relatives. I tell them what I really think. I’m not really outgoing. I often have trouble stepping out and showing you what I’m really like. I’m not conceited. If anything I put up a front of arrogance only to show my lofty self image.

When beginning to write this, I had to ask a group of diverse people a question; What they thought of me, when first meeting me. (All of their answers, with the exception of a few, were in the first paragraph.) The group consisted of acquaintances and friends from school; Teachers, Youth Pastors, believers and non believers. Just to give you an idea of the broad responses I received.

When it all came down to it, I was surprised. Not about what anyone said, but what they didn’t. You see, being a Christian we should strive to be different. In asking the group of people, not one of them said they thought I was different, diverse or that I stood out from everyone else.

1 John 3:1 says, “ 1 how great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.”

I’ve learned that in order for the world to see Jesus in us, we must first find ourselves in him. We need to realize that by God’s lavishing, wonderful love, we are his children. “And that is what we are!”

When people think of you wouldn’t you like them to think of you being different, which could ultimately cause them to stand out and be different?

One person’s opinion that I didn’t include was Moriah Smith’s. Here’s what she had to say.

“I first want to say I admire your strength to be able to request the truth.

When you first started coming to our meetings I could see physically that you had a strong faith. I think it's really cool, and definitely something I admire, that your faith is visual. My perceptions of you were and still are of a girl that just wants to know God. That seems like the most simple of things to ask but when you seek God you will definitely find him.”

Although I was truly amazed at what Moriah had to say, I was not happy. The reason for my unhappiness came from the realization that Moriah only sees me in a place of comfort—which is Christian Club.

I want to encourage you to be different. Even though it may be hard, and trust me, it will be…strive to be Christ like.

So I just just came back from Acquire the Fire and let me say it was awesome!! God really opened up my eyes to what I needed to be doing and why now was the time for me to do it. I knew this weekend in Pittsburgh was going to be life changing, and God really showed up in a super way. Its just about 1:15AM after ATF and I'm just high on God right now. Like everything makes since and I know what I need to be doing. I just pray that all of you just open your hearts, minds, and souls to what God can do. I finally turned the light green and let God in. IT WAS GREAT!!!!!! I prayed on my knees to Him for the first time in a long time because I wanted to, not because I felt obligated to. And it was just so... amazing. That's all I can really say about the worship. Michael Gungor Band rocks!!! I'm listening to them on my iPod right now, and they are just so anointed. And the Bema was really an eye opener! I was living to keep my popularity up there and to impress others but in reality, thats just a waste of time! I need to only care about what God thinks. And if he wants me to lead others to Christ, then I will. You never know when time is going to end and Jesus, sweet Jesus is going to come back for His loved ones. So now that my friend has just yelled at me for the 1000th time to turn off the laptop and go to bed, I think this is where I'm going have to stop for now. See you all later.

      Rach

btw-Today (or yesterday, May 3rd) was my 16th birthday and that was the best birthday present ever. You know what it was? Jesus. Feeling, talking to, and worshiping Him. It was good.

SORRY IF MY VOICE IS SO MURMURED. ):

Haha, so yeah, this is really my first time showing a video of me in public so I'm not so good.

This hold point of my video is that I have been having 5 years of troubled times because of my hearing problems. Sometimes I prayed so hard to hear God's voice because I can't hear well. But I do know that I can hear God through the bible.

At school, I can hear people talking to me as if they're screaming at me and I just don't like that at all. It fustrates me that people said I'm deaf. Deaf means you can't hear anything at all. Like, all you hear is a mute. Well, guess what? I AM NOT DEAF. I can really hear almost everything.

I would be thankful if you have prayed for me.

      Love in Christ,

  • Church Minded VS Kingdom Minde

    • Description:

      Church Minded Vs. Kingdom Minded

We hear a lot today about church growth and church growth is good. A healthy church should be growing just like a healthy person should grow. A healthy church cannot help but grow!

A lot of churches are starting to evaluate every program according to how much it helps the church grow. Evaluation is good and healthy as long as we look at the big picture. The big picture that I am talking about is the Kingdom of God.

Matt. 6:33 says that if we seek first the kingdom of God that all these things will be added unto us. We do not seek his kingdom to get what we want, but as we seek first the kingdom of God our lives and ministry cannot help but grow.

Church growth cannot be the only reason we do certain programs or cut certain programs in our local churches. There is a much higher calling to grow the kingdom of God.

Jesus said in the great commission to go into all the world and make disciples. Those people that need to be reached and discipled in all the world don’t just include people from our local communities that will attend our local churches.

A lot of times when people look at having a Kid’s Crusade or family outreach event they count how many families return after the event and judge whether they should continue having this kind of events in the future.

A lot of times we see great growth in our local churches from such events, but sometimes it does not effect the growth of our local body however it effects the growth of the kingdom of God.

Now I am not saying that we should not evaluate the effectiveness of a certain ministry or outreach events. We should evaluate everything we do to find out if it reached the goals we had for the event and how we can be more effective in reaching these goals during future events. However, our goal should not just be getting new people to come to our church. It should be part of it, but not the entire goal.

When I was on staff as a children’s pastor, I would ask myself what is the goal of any given event and how can we best achieve this goal. A lot of times we do an event just because we have always done this event.

When looking at the event of a traditional VBS and seeing the large budget it required and the manpower from our church, I would ask myself what the goal of VBS was. Was it to encourage the Christian children in our church to grow or to outreach into the community? Being the evangelist that I am and knowing that my children were well taught in children’s church my goal for most large events was outreach.

Then, I would ask myself if we were achieving that goal through the current VBS program. Most VBS curriculums are designed to teach bible truths around a certain theme for the year and not to see children born again and made disciples. VBS programs in some communities have turned into nothing more than a baby sitting service to the parents of the community. Kids jump from VBS to VBS every week during the summer just to have something to do while their parents are at work. Churches even work together to make sure that every week in the summer is covered by a different church and that everyone is not using the same curriculum. Most VBS curriculums have been watered down so that it is not offensive to anyone to get more children to attend. Sure there is a small amount of Bible in the curriculum, but in its self is not anything that will change a life for eternity.

After evaluating the program and seeing that my goal was outreach and evangelism, I decided to change to more of a Kids Crusade format. I do not call it a Kid’s Crusade because the un churched community does not understand the term and usually associate it with the crusades of the dark ages.

I have always been a kingdom minded person. Probably because Matt. 6:33 was one of the first scriptures that really came alive to me as a teen.

We will not always see church growth as a result of an event or program, however we must ask our self if the kingdom grew because of the event or program. Now I am not talking about loosely using the phrase …

If we touched one child it is worth it

It is worth it to touch the life of one child. We do not know what that child will become. Maybe this child might become the next Billy Graham or something. But why should we only touch the life of one child during the event? While we are touching their live why not touch the lives of hundreds more. If only one child is reached we should ask ourselves how we can reach more next time and make the adjustments to our program, advertising, and marketing of the event to the community to reach more people.

We recently ministered at a church that had us in and had small crowds each night. Mostly church kids and a few un churched friends attended. The same children came forward each evening during the invitation to be born again. A few people that did not attend the church came forward, but it was mostly the children from their church. I would say around 20 children were born again despite having around 50 children respond to the invitation during the 3 day event. I could see where the pastor might be discouraged and consider not having this type of event in the future because of the cost of the program and the results he saw.

No one new that a friend of mine from face book attended the service from a neighboring town one of the evenings with a group of children including her 7 year old daughter. She had seen on face book where we were going to be ministering at this church and wanted to come and check out our ministry.

After the event I received the following e-mail from my facebook friend…

"Thanks for inviting us. I'm sorry we couldn't make all three days. The kids I brought LOVED it, they want you to come to our church. My daughter who's 7 also came with me on Monday night. She has been telling people in her class and in our congregation how she is "born again" and "how God gave her a clean heart". This is HUGE coming from a very Traditional Presbyterian Church. So thank you. You have encouraged me to change my Sunday School curriculum and change the direction of my ministry to be more evangelism based. I'll be back in touch soon after speaking with our finance committee to discuss scheduling a Jubilee Gang event at our church.”

This was worth the whole event to see the lives of these young people changed and to see the possibility of an entire children’s ministry at another church become more evangelistic because of the children’s pastor attending this meeting.

I also received a testimony from a children’s pastor in VA that was born again at a Kids Crusade at a church that he did not attend and never attended except for the Kid’s Crusade where he was born again. Below is his story…

“When I was 5 years old my parents took me to see a traveling children’s evangelist who was ministering in a local church. At the end of the service I asked Jesus into my heart for the first time. My family and I never went back to that church but found ourselves planted in another local church where we grew in Christ.

I often think about that first church where I found Jesus. I’m so grateful that church had a kingdom mindset when it came to outreach. Many churches see the goal of outreach as a way to boost attendance numbers. Outreaches are evaluated by measurable returns, but the Bible reminds us that we’re here to build a kingdom…not just our own church.

I’m grateful for ministries like the Jubilee Gang who spend their time spreading the seed of God’s word into young hearts. And I’m grateful that this first church had a kingdom mindset that allowed me to hear the gospel for the first time. Their measurable return may be considered insufficient by many churches today but I will be eternally grateful to God for them.”

This is what it is all about folks! As a result of this church being kingdom minded this young child was born again and is now a children’s pastor at a large church that is affecting hundreds if not thousands of lives.

It would be wrong to not give a testimony from a church that did not see growth from a Kids crusade at their church. I received the following letter from a church in OK where a child was born again during the kids crusade and went home and told his mother about Christ and led her to the lord…

“Our pastor's wife was teaching a Wednesday night class and a mom was helping. The mom brought in her form that we have everyone fill out before they help in children's church. Pastor's wife looked at the form and saw that the mom got saved in October and asked her about it.

The mom's two kids came to the crusade and heard about being born again. The boy came to the front to pray. (That's awesome at that) That night when they got home, they told their mom about being born again and the mom got saved in her living room that night and has been faithful to church ever since.”

We would have never have know this if the pastor’s wife had not asked some questions. The kingdom was affected by this event!

When evaluating events and programs let make sure that we are not cutting a program that is affecting the Kingdom when we do not see our church numbers increase.

  • Its Harvest Time!

      John 4:35

Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!

As we drove through Louisiana on the way home from an event last fall, we drove past many cotton fields. The cotton was truly white and ready for harvest. Some of the fields were being harvested as we passed them.

We saw miles and miles of white fields. It reminded me of John 4:35.

There are 6.7 billion people in the world today. The majority have not heard the good news of the Gospel. And if they have it was misrepresented to them as dead religion or was not relative to their lives. It’s our job to take the good news to the world. They will not evangelize themselves.

If the world could only here the good news of the gospel that God is not mad at the them. He is not holding their sins against them because of what Jesus did on the cross. All they need to do is receive the gift of salvation and be born again. It’s a free gift. That’s the Good news.

2 Cor 5:18-21 Says very clearly what the message is and who is to take it to the world.

2 Cor 5:18-21 Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Most unsaved people will not come to church.

That’s why we must take it to where they are!

      We are Gods ambassadors!

We represent him to the people of the planet earth!

      Rom 10:13-15

13 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!

Below are a few statistics to think about.

      • Of the 6.7 billion people on the earth today, 34% are under the age of 14.
      • 40 million children in the United States have never been to church.
      • 2 out of 3 children in the United States do not know JESUS.
      • 86% of all people who receive Jesus make that decision before age 15.
      • The probability of someone being born again in America is:
          • 35% between ages 5 – 12.
          • 4% between 13 – 18
          • and 6% for those 19 and older.
      • Only 10% of all the money put into the gospel is directed to the ministry of children.

Seven years old is the age a person is most receptive to the Gospel.

After a person turns 13 they are less likely to make a decision for Christ.

After seeing this why do 99 percent of evangelists go after adults or teens? I can count on 2 hands the children’s evangelist out there that is making an impact on this generation. A lot of children’s ministries have gone to entertainment based instead of ministry based.

That’s why we try and establish relationships with other children’s evangelists that are making a difference. There are too many children not born again and not enough children’s evangelist to be in any kind of competition.

We have a whole generation of children that have never been to church. And if they have, they thought it was dead religion and didn’t want anything to do with it.

Below are the percentages of people in America during different era’s that believed the basic bible truths and were born again.

      • 65% WW II generation
      • 35% baby boomers
      • 16% Gen X

If nothing changes in America when this generation of children become adults only 4% will be born again bible believing Christians.

Church its time to wake up and take back this generation!

The fields are truly white and ready for harvest!

      Matt 9:37-38
The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."

      Will you go?
